102. Is it possible to add a link to the Specimens encoded in DaRWIN for a specific storage / location

The precise localisation of a specimen in the storage can be defined with several fileds:

These fields can be used to search all specimens located at the same place.
The search url can be saved and reused to create automatic link(s) to a specific location in the storage.

The folllowing link searches all specimens located in the room 8B and the row 6

https://darwin.naturalsciences.be/backend.php/specimensearch/search/1?specimen_search_filters%5Broom%5D=8B&specimen_search_filters%5Brow%5D=6&submit=Search

Where
  • specimen_search_filters%5Broom%5D=8B
  • specimen_search_filters%5Brow%5D=6

These links can be included in offline or online storage map/plan and displays all the specimens encoded in DaRWIN and located in this place. In this example, the map of the storage is represented by a html table available in the intranet of the Invertebrates collection.

By clicking on the 6 label on the map, the link will display all specimens encoded in the CMS and corresponding to room 8B and row 6.

Indeed the link is dynamic and will display only the specimens for which the user has the "view" authorisation (defined at the collection level).
